The Hull Rupture system requirements on the Steam page list minimum specs for Windows, macOS and Linux, and nothing else. The game is a Steam-only PC release from Konfa Games and tinyBuild that launched on November 4, 2026. Recommended specs are not listed, and the page says nothing about Steam Deck or controllers. Below are the numbers as published, then what they mean in practice. Our Hull Rupture wiki covers the rest of the game.
Hull Rupture System Requirements for Windows
This is the minimum setup the Steam store page shows for Windows. No recommended tier is given, so treat the minimum as the only official line.
| Component | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 21H1, 64-bit |
| Processor | Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GTX 670 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 |
| DirectX | Version 11 |
| Storage | 2 GB available space |
System Requirements for macOS
On Mac the Steam page asks for macOS Big Sur 11 or newer, an Apple M1 chip or an Intel Core i9-9750H, 8 GB of RAM and 2 GB of storage. So the game lists Apple Silicon and Intel Macs as supported. The page gives no separate graphics line for Mac.
System Requirements for Linux and SteamOS
The Linux build asks for Ubuntu 22.04 or newer, an Intel i7-8700 or Ryzen 5 1600, 8 GB of RAM and 2 GB of storage. Steam lists the game for SteamOS and Linux, but that listing is not the same as a Steam Deck rating.
Steam Deck and Controller Status
The store page does not list controller support and shows no Steam Deck compatibility rating. Players have asked about both in the Steam discussions, including whether the game feels good on a Deck. A developer account said in August that controller support was not planned for launch but could be considered after it, and one player said the demo worked on a Deck with mouse controls. There is no Deck verification. Until one appears, treat both as not published and not verified. We have not tested the game on a Deck or with a pad, so we make no claim that either works.
Other launch problems players reported are collected on Hull Rupture crash and launch problems. If this changes, the Hull Rupture updates page is where we will note it. The developer's own pages are collected under Hull Rupture official links.
Will My PC Run It?
The Hull Rupture system requirements are modest: a CPU from 2017 and a GPU from 2012 or 2013 meet the Windows line. Practical reading, not a test: if your machine is newer than that, you are very likely fine. 8 GB of RAM is the one number to check, because it is the same on every platform.
One caution from a review: Gaming Cypher reported slowdowns past wave 40 in Endless Mode. Normal Classic runs end at wave 20, so most players will not reach that point. Not sure about the game yet? The free Hull Rupture demo lets you check how it runs on your own machine first. For price and platforms see the Hull Rupture release date page, and for a verdict on the whole game read is Hull Rupture worth it.
Hull Rupture System Requirements FAQ
Are recommended specs listed?
No. For the Hull Rupture system requirements, Steam shows minimums only, so there is no official recommended spec for any platform at the time of checking.
Does Hull Rupture work on Steam Deck?
That is not confirmed. The store page lists no Steam Deck status, and players are still asking in the discussions. Do not buy it for a Deck on the assumption that it works.
Does Hull Rupture have controller support?
The store page does not list it. In a Steam discussion in August a developer said it was not planned for launch and might be considered afterwards. Plan on mouse and keyboard until that changes.
Can I play Hull Rupture on a Mac?
Yes, a macOS version is listed with a Big Sur 11 minimum and either an M1 or an Intel chip. Some players have asked in Steam discussions whether the demo runs on Apple Silicon, and we have no confirmed answer. Our Hull Rupture beginner guide explains the run once you are in.
Is the game on consoles or mobile?
No console or mobile release is listed on Steam. See Hull Rupture ships for what the game itself contains.
